Xmas

This year, Hazrin decided to give personalized presents to his maternal nieces and nephews for Xmas...

He's always been very involved in our projects, but he's never really designed anything for us thus far. This time round however, probably inspired to chart his own name, he decided to design a new line of personalized stationeries.

With the resources available, he painstakingly worked on his project...and in the process, helped increase our pool of resources too.

I must admit, I've never fully realized this potential of his before, and am pleasantly surprised by what I discovered....

We now have a new designer on board, and that can be nothing but advantageous for Mariah & Sham :)

So, here's introducing his excellent work...

He even prepared the packaging box for the personalized notebook and pencil...

For the young adult cousins, he gave them something chic...

For the aunts, uncles and married cousins, he gave them the newly designed Mariah & Sham favors...

And finally, for the newest member of the clan - Baby Deborah, a Mariah & Sham gift set....

Hope they love the gifts!

New year resolution

We've been asked a couple of times, to do up decor and banquet for weddings, but we're still toying with that idea. We'd love to do just that, and we do have our resources...but up till now, we've just been taking orders for favors, gifts, cakes, high teas and floral arrangements.

Running a business, while being a mother of four and working as a full time pharmacist can be quite tricky sometimes. Mariah - my sis and biz partner, who is also a mother herself, and a full time social worker, can testify to this...and so can mum - our biz director and our biggest inspiration and mentor.

So far it's been manageable cos we've been lucky to be able to pursue this biz, which is our passion, with proper time management and good family support.

But all this while, to ensure quality in every single piece of work, we've been concentrating our resources and confining our orders to the likes of favors, gifts, cakes etc. Perhaps it's high time that we unfold more surprises. Many of our fans and friends have been encouraging us to go bigger scale...and so with that kind of support and confidence, we're treading into newer territories, come 2010.

Wishing all a blessed and fruitful 2010! May your dreams and prayers come true....

To our better halves, loving children and dad...thanx for all the help, support and encouragement.
To our big brother Nazif - on whose quiet trust and kind token, this biz was first built and made possible, thank you :)
To our sister-in-law Shabana...thanx for your moral support and appreciation.

And especially to all our fans and clients, thank you so very much for all the support, trust and encouragement. Keep in touch, and God bless.....

Love,
Mariah & Sham

Rush Hour

The December rush is not showing any signs of abating...

We promised not to take in any new orders...only to break that very promise again this week :)

We took over an order for a wedding cake from a friend. She came down with a bad flu and couldn't meet her order...so we decided to take in just this ONE more order...

Here's Pretty in Pink, dedicated to our dear friend....may you stay in the pink of health always.

And of course, a special thank you to our newfound client Zyla, for her trust and appreciation. Here's also to you and friends....

The dream

We're dreaming of having our own boutique shop someday.

Granted, retail spaces in this lion city do not come in cheap...so that dream will have to be stretched a tad bit longer for now.

But if and when we finally decide to invest in that, we'd love to draw inspiration from these gorgeous flagship stores...
These are the shops along the popular Rodeo Drive at Beverly Hills. We may not be able to have something in that scale here, but its elements can be adopted and 'transplanted' just as beautifully.
And how we love Dior's store here in Paris. Simple, chic, modern, classy and grand all at once...love it!
Then this Ralph store had to tickle our fancy even more...
And ouh we love this one too!

Oh well...we'll just keep on dreaming for now. Someday perhaps, someday...

High Tea

Of late, we've been swarmed by requests for high tea buffet...but this month being December, our diary is packed with wedding orders. We therefore apologize for not being able to accommodate last minute requests for the month. Nevertheless, if you're interested to book us for 2010, feel free to e-mail us, cos we've started reserving orders.

Anyway, to answer the many queries about our high tea set up, we offer this service by consultation. This is to ensure that no two high tea / dessert buffet set ups are the same. That is to say, we look forward to every project with the resolve to create something new and different...That's probably why our packages are very unstandardized. We have our basic packages, but for the more discerning customers, we can offer more new ideas for hosting that unforgettable reception. The sky's the limit!

And speaking of new things, we've added a chocolate fondue fountain into our inventory too. So our customers can now have a Chocolate Fondue Buffet as well. The spread will consist of the usual suspects like strawberries, grapes, biscuits, mini cakes and marshmellows, but restassured, it will be unique in set up and layout.
One may have this Chocolate Fondue Buffet incorporated into the High Tea Buffet, but if one wishes to have just the former on its own, that's perfectly fine as well...
And just for the guests to remember the High Tea experience by, we have created a new favor just for tea. Introducing the Time For Tea Collection....
One may have our tea bags with customised messages packed in a box, or our sugar crystal swivel sticks packed just as beautifully.

Or how about our lemon meringue cupcake in a vintage wrapper? Alas, these are just some examples. Again, the sky's the limit :)
